Administrative Law Matters
Our firm advises and represents clients in administrative matters, including liquor licenses from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and sales and use tax matters involving the Board of Equalization to matters involving contractors licenses issued by the CSLB (Contractors State Licensing Board). We also represent clients before the Department of Real Estate and in applications for payment from the Consumer Recovery Account.
We advise clients on their business and residential real estate matters. This includes reviewing and preparing purchase agreements, easements, deeds of trust, leases, lot line adjustments, partition actions, and all other real property issues, as well as breaches of agreements affecting real property or malpractice by the Broker.
We have an extensive tax practice advising clients on all tax matters, including examinations, 1031 exchanges, tax planning, federal excise taxes, and all matters involving the Franchise Tax Board and the Internal Revenue Service.
Our firm advises non-profit clients on all aspects of operation, from formation to regaining tax exempt status after revocation of tax-exempt status by the IRS.
Our firm represents individuals and businesses in a wide range of disputes, including mediation, arbitration and litigation. This includes disputes involving contracts, partnership disputes, shareholder derivative suits, beach of fiduciary duties, real property purchase and sale, leases, boundaries and easements, defective construction and other construction disputes, trust litigation and the probate of decedents etates.
